You are not going to believe this...yesterday I was on my way to work and I saw something shiny in the air. Well ADD Sarah (you know, AD Oh look there's something shiny) thought to myself, "I wonder what that is." Well it kept getting closer...and closer...and I was still trying to figure it out. I was driving in a "work zone" so no calling anyone, right? Well it kept getting lower. And lower. And I started thinking to myself, "Surely he isn't going to land here". And then he got even lower. Then I start thinking, "HOLY CRAP. I need to get out of his way. He's going to hit me. I'm going to die in a plane crash that isn't even in the air!" Then I thought, "I need to swerve. But it's a big ditch and if I wreck, will that cost me or does that stupid pilot's insurance cover that. Do planes have vehicle insurance???" Then I saw his face. I'm not sure, but I think he may have pooped his pants because the next thing I knew, he was going straight up (I have a sunroof so I looked). My hands were still sweaty by the time I got to Peoria. There's one thing I'm pretty sure of...he's not posting this on his blog!!!
The only thing I can figure out is that he was trying to land on Route 40 and the guys who were sitting on smoking on the Advanced Asphalt truck were supposed to stop me with the "Stop/Slow" sign, but weren't paying attention. I wonder if he was talking with them and they said that it was clear to land. Hmmm...that's the only thing I can come up with.
