Most of you know, but I did just start going to an Endocrinologist. He did a bunch of blood work and finally figured out what is wrong with me! He said that all of my hormones are messed up and if someone had only sent me to him years ago, I never would have gotten fat! Like that's what I want to hear. You know, there is always some jackass that gives you that good advice after the fact. Like...oh, you don't want to put gasoline on leaves or cardboard before you light them...you can lose eyebrows. But I digress. So, he figured out that I also have too much testosterone. And my body was turning everything I eat into fat because it thought it needed it. I was basically only burning 200 calories a day with all of the insulin and hormone problems. So, he put me on a few different vitamin supplements, Glucophage, Aldactone (for my mustache haha), and vitamin D3. Here's my diet:
Breakfast: Yogurt and fruit
Lunch: Meat (no pork), 2 vegetables, Dairy and fruit
Snack: Fruit
Dinner: Meat and more meat and some more meat, 2 vegetables, fruit
I've done really well. So far, lost 12 pounds. But here's the deal. I found out that a carb is a carb is a carb. So I've added potatoes instead of fruit. You don't get ot eat a big potato, but you do get to eat one. And in the first week I lost 8 pounds. The second week only 4. Maybe that's why. Or maybe it's because I haven't felt like eating the fruit and haven't eaten all of the calories. I don't know. I said during that first week that as much as I dislike meat, it was too much effort to even chew. Nobody understood that. Here is what I mean. I would rather go hungry than put the effort into eating crap I don't like. Sad isn't it. I wish they could put me into a fat coma until i was skinny. But I don't see that happening. Oh well.
I do get to eat bread. On Saturday. One meal. But it is soooo worth it! My doctor did give me a shot called Lypo-Lyte. It is supposed to help you "melt" fat. It is basically a big shot of vitamins. It is $26/shot and you can get it once a week. Some doctors will let you get it twice a week, but it can help you lose up to an additional 3 pounds a week and he doesn't want anyone to lose that fast. But I was talking to one person that took it every other week for a year and lost 34 pounds. And she wasn't that big to begin with. You only lose fat. I recommend finding a doctor that will give it to you! If you look it up on the internet, you see it as a lyposuction shot, but it isn't the same thing. This has mostly B vitamins and a few other things that will help.
Oh...my body was really low on Vitamin D and now I take 2000mg of Vitamin D3 daily. It is supposed to help with energy and insulin resistance problems along with weight loss. I recommend taking it if you can. It is pretty inexpensive and can help!
So, that's my story. I'm not sure where the twelve pounds were. I think maybe my toes. But Kevin said I'm not snoring as much. So maybe my neck. I don't know. I just hope it keeps going like it has. I also wish Kevin would quit eating yummy things in front of me. I'm fine when he eats crap I don't like. But when he breathes his Dorito or Ice Cream breath near me it really makes me mad. Why couldn't he have a non working metabolism for like a week to see what it's like? Okay...enough whining about me. I'll keep you posted on the weight loss.
