Day Camp was awesome. The kids loved it. Here are a few pictures. Kevin made it onto the front page of the paper.
I don't know the kid that made this, but I love him! There was all kinds of drama about getting the craft supplies. I didn't do anything other than help plan it. My sister ran the games...they made dinosaur boogers. It was awesome. The kids loved it.
Friday, I took our microwave to Day Camp since I was supposed to be in charge of the snacks. Here is what I made:
PB & J-asaurus (they were in the shapes of dinosaurs)
Dino Eggs: Hard boiled eggs, cracked but not peeled and then soaked in Kool-Aid. Everywhere there was a crack, the coloring shows. It was way cool.
Dinosaur Bones: Pretzel rods in white chocolate
Dino Scat (poop): was going to be puppy chow, but it didn't work, so it was Crispix stirred into the chocolate
Tar Pits: Chocolate pudding topped with crushed oreos
Raptor Claws: Almonds
Prehistoric Fish: Swedish Fish
Herbivore Dip: Guacamole
Stegosaurus Plates: Triangle Tortilla Chips
Swamp Slurp: Green Sherbet in Sprite
It was lots of fun. The kids enjoyed it. It rained like crazy so the kids learned to make ponchos in outdoor skills...out of a garbage bag. I said we wouldn't do it again, but I think we will!
